Yes, I have fallen off my 50 project challenge. I could no longer resist. I just put a nice dent in the old credit card. I could no longer resist the Alphabet Fairies or the Pixies!!! I will continue to work on what I have here but with all the new patterns out I don't think I will have the will power to resist. DH is going to give me the Celtic Garden Mystery for my birthday anyway, he knew I wouldn't make it!!!

And speaking of my DH, he just found out that he made Chief this year!! Yeah!! For those who aren't military this is a very nice promotion for him. So the next six weeks or more is spent in training, fund raisers, community service etc. I told him my gift for not really seeing him for the next 6 weeks (he is going to be so busy with initiation) is my cross stitch order!!LOL I have to justify falling off the wagon somehow!!!

Have a great week I will be posting Celtic Spring progress at the end of the week.

KristinKristin Stitcheshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08631636773576246673noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-877132635108120795.post-8710464117988703632008-07-18T15:37:00.001-07:002008-07-18T15:40:47.950-07:00Fairy Moon Update Here is Fairy moon for July. Once he is unpacked I will get a picture of my new presents up. He also gave me a gift certificate to ABC Stitch for Mothers day. I will post a picture of those when they arrive. I worked on her sleeve this week.. I didn't get much done. I spent most of the day with Aidan at the Doctors and Radiologists. I stayed with something small and dug this freebie out. This is Snowflake Surprise from Laura J. Perin Designs. There is another border around the large center snowflake, but I pulled it out today. The fabric that came with it was too small and left about 1/4 inch border to try to work with, so I am leaving it off. I took a look at the shawl and didn't like how it looked so out it came. I don't like working with white/ecru. I always think it looks off. I think I will skip the shawl for now and start on her dress. The white may be why my stitching on her has slowed down. Hopefully I can catch up to Andie and Mel if I start her dress this week. We will see.

KristinKristin Stitcheshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08631636773576246673noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-877132635108120795.post-56899798525467450772007-12-16T18:40:00.001-08:002007-12-16T18:42:25.269-08:00Updated pictures coming soon.Celtic Autumn week 15 and Buzz and Tink pictures will be posted as soon as my camera decides to cooperate. I decided on 50 because I really want to start the Chatelaine Celtic Garden Mystery, but I can't justify the cost with the amount of stash I have yet to be completed. So I made a deal with my husband and pulled out 50 projects. Most are kitted up but some still need floss or fabric. After I have completed 25 projects I can join the mystery and download the pattern. After 50 projects are completed I can order the materials/kit for the project as a birthday, Christmas or anniversary gift, depending upon what time of year I finish.

Start Date December 8, 2007

The Rules:

1. Have fun reducing your stash.

2. There is no time limit- people have different size projects they would like to work on.

3. Thou shall not purchase any new patterns until 10, 25, or 50 projects have been stitched. Pattern size does not matter. WIPs and UFOs finishes count.

4. This challenge can also apply to knitting, beading, sewing and crocheting patterns.

5. You can make some exemptions - I am not placing limitations on this due to commitments that people might already have. Remember, though, the goal of this challenge is to reduce stash so too many exemptions will sabotage these efforts. I have declared three exemptions.

6. Gifts, gift cards, trades, RAKs and patterns bought with gift money are not a violation of this challenge.

7. Freebies count as part of your total and you can acquire them at any point.

8. You do not have to declare the projects you intend to work on. (If listing would make you feel better please do so)

9. The official start date of this challenge was Sept 1, 2006 since I have been posting about it for awhile and want to make sure the everyone’s projects have been included. All projects finished on or after this date count for the challenge. Example: you have been working TW’s Peacock Tapestry for the past 36 months and you finally finished it on Sept. 12th… it counts as part of your total for the challenge.

My 50 Project List:

1.
