THUD

Did you hear the extremely loud thud? Yes, I have fallen off my 50 project challenge. I could no longer resist. I just put a nice dent in the old credit card. I could no longer resist the Alphabet Fairies or the Pixies!!! I will continue to work on what I have here but with all the new patterns out I don't think I will have the will power to resist. DH is going to give me the Celtic Garden Mystery for my birthday anyway, he knew I wouldn't make it!!!

And speaking of my DH, he just found out that he made Chief this year!! Yeah!! For those who aren't military this is a very nice promotion for him. So the next six weeks or more is spent in training, fund raisers, community service etc. I told him my gift for not really seeing him for the next 6 weeks (he is going to be so busy with initiation) is my cross stitch order!!LOL I have to justify falling off the wagon somehow!!!

Have a great week I will be posting Celtic Spring progress at the end of the week.

Long Overdue Updates

Here are some long overdue updates. Life has been crazy around here. School is ending and a dance recital is coming up and it has been way too nice to spend time indoors!

Here is finish 8 of 50. This is Halloween Fairy by Nora Corbett Designs. She is stitched on Silkweavers 28ct. Jamaica Sunset. She is stitched with the threads from the kit.Sorry about the photo my camera started to act up.

This is finish 7 0f 50. This is Birth Sampler Bless by Sisters and Best Friends. It was done on the recommended fabric, 28ct. Miracle Mint with the recommended threads DMC and Weeks Dye Works. I am going to finish this as a flat fold I think.

This is finish number 6 of 50. This was a freebie from Laura J. Perin Designs called Four Leaf Clover. I still haven't decided how I am going to finish it though.

Here is Celtic Spring after the first week SAL in June. I started with her and the dress. I think that is were I slow down with these. I still have to finish Autumn. I have just her dress and the beading to do. I hope to finish her this summer!!

Here is Fairy Moon after the June SAL. Her wings are almost done! Then I can move on to that dress!!!

I think that is it for now. I am off to work on the UFORR that I currently have.

I'm still here and Fairy Moon update

No I haven't fallen off the face of the earth. Though my SAL partners my have thought so!!! It has been very hectic around here this past month or so.

I didn't stitch on Celtic Autumn this month but I will get a picture up from April. We start Celtic Spring in June. I am going to fit Celtic Autumn into my rotation somewhere so that I get her finished soon.

Here is Fairy Moon from April. I will get an updated picture for this month up after this week is up.

I did manage to get a baby sampler finished but not Halloween Fairy. She has one wing to go. Poor thing has been waiting for months to be finished. I hope to get her done soon also!!

My husband was away in Virginia for a month and was kind enough to go LNS searching for me. Once he is unpacked I will get a picture of my new presents up. He also gave me a gift certificate to ABC Stitch for Mothers day. I will post a picture of those when they arrive. I am still working on the 50 project challenge. I didn't count my new gifts towards the challenge since they were part of my original rules on gifts and gift certificates!

Thanks for looking,

Fairy Moon

Here is Fairy Moon. We switched to a week long SAL during the second week of the month. I did managed to get quite a bit done on her. I am really enjoying this one. That is a good thing because my UFORR this round is also Fairy Moon. Now that my SAL are done for this month I am off to work on the UFORR and a baby sampler. I may even get to finish Halloween Fairy which I started before Halloween last year. She became my travel/wait for kids activities project, so I would really like to finish her soon!!!
Thanks for looking.

Celtic Autum

Here is Celtic Autumn after we switched to a week long SAL. I had hoped to get more done but that dress doesn't go to quickly for me. Hopefully next month I can get a little further along.

What happens when....

you spend a few hours working on your Fairy Moon SAL to find that you miscounted? No progress this week. I just finished pulling out about three hours worth of work!!! ARGHHH!!! She is put away until next week and hopefully I can learn to count again by then!

I am off to bury my nose in a book, no counting involved there!

Finish 5 of 50

Here is finish 5 of my 50 project challenge. This is Sweet, Sweet Babe from Sam Sarah Designs. I did this for one of Alan's cousins. I used the suggested Gentle Arts and Weeks Dye works. It is on Silkweavers 32 count Beignet. I did change the flowers at the bottom from the yellow to purple, I thought it looked more girly this way.

I hope to catch up soon with all of the baby samplers, I have another to start for a baby born in January and one for a baby due in July. I haven't decided how to finish this, I may try my hand at a flat fold. We will see.

Thanks for looking.

Celtic Autumn Weeks 23 and 24

Here is my update for Celtic Autumn for weeks 23 and 24. I haven't made much progress these past two weeks, sick kids and sick cats have had me running back and forth to the doctors for the kids and work for the cats. Next month we switch to week long SAL so hopefully I can get further along. The picture isn't the best my camera doesn't want to play nice with the computer today, so I scanned her. I worked on her shawl, it is almost done.

Thanks for looking.

Thanks for looking.

Celtic Autumn Week 22

First is "Molly" at week 22. I worked on her sleeve this week.. I didn't get much done. I spent most of the day with Aidan at the Doctors and Radiologists. We thought he had broken his little finger on Friday and we were at the emergency room that night. Then on Monday he had a recheck with his Doctor because it still was very crooked. It wasn't broken but very badly sprained. He has it taped and is doing really well with it.

Finish 4 of 50

This is finish 4 of 50. I stayed with something small and dug this freebie out. This is Snowflake Surprise from Laura J. Perin Designs. There is another border around the large center snowflake, but I pulled it out today. The fabric that came with it was too small and left about 1/4 inch border to try to work with, so I am leaving it off. I will either finish it off as an ornament or a pinkeep whenever I get a chance to work on the drawer of finishes to be finished.

Thanks for looking.

Kristin

Finish 3 of 50

Here is finish 3 of 50. This is Drawn Thread's Little Spot Sampler. I needed something small to finish so I could make a little dent in my 50 Project challenge!!

50 Project Challenge, Celtic Autumn Week 21 and Fairy Moon floss toss

Here is 1/50 and 2/50 for my 50 project challenge. I can't seem to get a good picture of them. This is called Infinity and Beyond and Tink's Kiss. The kids picked them out before Christmas , so I stitched them up and put them into their stockings.

My fabric for Fairy Moon came today. Here is a floss toss. This is Sugar Maple Fabrics Tumult. Now I can't wait to start the SAL with Andie and Mel.

Here is "Molly at week 21. I started the shawl and got a little more of her dress done.

I think that catches me up. I should have another small finish this week. If all goes well and I can get some stitching time in this weekend.

Thanks for looking.

Celtic Autumn Week 20

Here is Molly at week 20. I made a small dent in that dress and I still have to go back and stitch the shall. Maybe next week.

I am waiting on my fabric order from Sugar Maple Fabrics. I can't wait to start Fairy Moon with Andie and Mel. Hopefully next week I can join them on Wednesdays.

I have two finishes from Christmas for my 50 project challenge. I will try to remember to get a picture of them this week. They are small and already hanging up in the kids rooms. But small projects count too!!! I started Drawn Threads Little Spot Sampler the other night so I could have another quick finish to cross off the list. I should have it finished this week, (fingers crossed) if children cooperate!

Thanks for looking.

Celtic Autumn Week 18 and 19

Here is "Molly" for weeks 18 and 19. It's a combo picture.I completely forgot to take a picture last week! This week has been crazy, the kids are back to school after two weeks off at the holidays; Alan is back out to sea for a little while; and I am trying to exercise more, read more and stitch more this year. Hopefully I can get a good schedule going in the next week! I will also have to add in the UFO from the round robin I joined, busy, busy busy!!! Thanks for looking I will try to be better at posting next week and in the months to come!
